[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Councilor A of the Seoul Metropolitan Council (Dongdaemun-gu) tested positive for COVID-19 on the 10th, leading to the postponement of the Seoul Metropolitan Council plenary session to the 15th.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Council, Councilor A's wife recently tested positive, and after feeling unwell since the 9th, he underwent testing and received a positive result around 4 p.m. on the 10th.
As a result, eight fellow councilors who attended the Democratic Party of Korea Seoul Metropolitan Party district office secretaries' meeting with Councilor A have been tested and are currently awaiting results.
The council had planned to hold the 301st regular plenary session at 3 p.m. that day to review the organizational restructuring plan submitted by Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, but the plenary session was postponed to the 15th due to Councilor A's positive diagnosis.
