LS Nikko Dongjeomyeon Announces Copper Antibacterial Properties... Conducts 'Copper Friends Campaign'
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] The International Copper Association and LS Nikko Dongjin announced on the 10th that they will carry out the 'Copper Friends' campaign to promote the antibacterial properties of copper.
The campaign launch event was held with the participation of Yuhan Jong, head of the Korea branch of the International Copper Association (ICA), Koo Bon-kwon, head of the business strategy division at LS Nikko Dongjin, ambassador Park Seung-hee, and other related personnel.
This campaign was planned to widely inform the general public about copper's 'antibacterial properties.' In March, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced results showing that the COVID-19 virus is completely eliminated on copper surfaces within four hours. In South Korea, positive results were also obtained through the 'Asan Hospital clinical trial' jointly conducted in 2010 by ICA, LS Nikko Dongjin, and Poongsan.

The main activities are summarized as 'Fun Story,' which applies YouTube videos and card news; 'Friendly Channel,' using YouTube channels and Instagram accounts; and 'Fulfillment Event,' donating antibacterial copper products to local communities. Additionally, former national speed skating representative Park Seung-hee was appointed as the campaign ambassador to help widely promote the campaign.
