According to Mokpo Coast Guard Station (Chief Im Jae-su) on the 10th, at around 1:44 p.m. on the 9th, a report was received that crew member B (in his 50s) of coastal gillnet fishing vessel A (9.77 tons, registered in Incheon, with 8 crew members) operating about 18.5 km west of Jaeun-do, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, was experiencing severe abdominal swelling and pain.
The Coast Guard dispatched a patrol vessel, met vessel A near Daechi-mado, Sinan-gun, boarded the patient, and promptly transported him. They arrived at Songdo Port, Jido-eup, Sinan-gun at around 2:45 p.m. and handed the patient over to the waiting 119 ambulance team.
Thanks to the Coast Guard's assistance, Mr. A, who was urgently transported, was moved to a hospital in Mokpo, underwent detailed examinations, and is currently receiving treatment.
