Air Busan Prioritizes Vaccinated Passengers... Paid Seat Selection on Domestic Routes, Priority Baggage Handling on Jeju Route
First Airline to Offer Benefits to Vaccinated Passengers, Available for One Month from the 11th
Five Front and Emergency Exit Seats per Route on a First-Come, First-Served Basis, Plus 'Priority Baggage Handling' Service
Enhanced In-Flight In
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Get vaccinated and sit in a ‘good seat’ when you board? A service that gives priority to vaccinated passengers who board quickly has emerged.
This is an ‘event campaign’ that gives vaccinated passengers priority for preferred seats (paid seats) or priority baggage handling service.
There are preferred seats for passengers, so-called paid seats. If vaccination is confirmed, the first five passengers can use five paid seats or receive priority baggage handling. This event also serves as a campaign to strengthen in-flight infectious disease prevention and encourage vaccination.
Air Busan (CEO Ahn Byung-seok) is the first domestic airline to launch this ‘vaccination encouragement campaign’.
The campaign will run from the 11th of this month to July 15. Passengers who have received at least one dose of the vaccine, including the first dose, can receive benefits. However, it is limited to the first five passengers.
The campaign is divided into two routes.
For domestic routes (△Busan↔Gimpo △Ulsan↔Gimpo), a service is provided that allows passengers to select five paid seats, including front seats and emergency exit seats.
For Jeju routes (△Busan↔Jeju △Gimpo↔Jeju △Ulsan↔Jeju), considering travel cargo, a ‘priority baggage handling’ service is provided.
Both services are offered to the first five passengers per flight.
On the day of boarding, passengers need to submit a government-issued vaccination certificate at the airport counter.
Air Busan plans to strengthen in-flight infectious disease prevention and promote safe air travel through this proactive ‘vaccination encouragement campaign’.
As overseas travel is becoming visible again recently, Air Busan’s strategy is to further highlight its image as a ‘safe airline’ that it has built so far.
An Air Busan official said, “We planned this campaign to participate in overcoming the national crisis and to further enhance the safety of travelers. We will also ensure travelers’ peace of mind with proactive and aggressive quarantine policies for international flights resuming in the second half of the year.”
Air Busan is the first domestic airline to install thermal cameras at the gates of all routes to conduct full temperature checks to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and ensure safe boarding.
