One Employee Dies from Burns While Working at Waste Disposal Company
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Ju Cheol-in] Among three employees who suffered burns during reprocessing work at an incinerator in a waste disposal company, one employee in his 40s ultimately passed away.
According to the Pohang Nambu Police Station in Gyeongbuk on the 9th, A (46), who sustained third-degree burns over 90% of his body due to a high-temperature steam discharge accident at the incinerator, died on the afternoon of the 8th while receiving treatment at a hospital in Daegu.
Two other employees who suffered burns over 80% and 27% of their bodies are currently undergoing treatment.
Earlier, around 2:30 p.m. on the 5th, three workers, including A, were burned when high-temperature dust was discharged during reprocessing work at an incinerator in a waste disposal company in Nam-gu, Pohang.
