[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The Korea International Trade Association announced on the 9th that it will start the first broadcast of 'Talking about the Chinese Market, Tok! China' on YouTube from the 10th.
Tok! China is a program that delivers related information in an easy-to-understand manner to viewers by having conversations on recent Chinese market trends and major economic issues with the country's top China experts.
The first guest is Professor An Yuhwa of Sungkyunkwan University, who has been actively active on YouTube recently. He shares his thoughts on 'China's changed new consumption trends after COVID-19 and the US-China technology war.'
Professor An advised, "China is transforming into a technology-oriented export structure according to the dual circulation development strategy, aiming to reduce import dependence and increase the domestic substitution rate," adding, "For many parts and materials, especially semiconductors, China aims for a 70% localization rate by 2025, so our companies need to move from past exports centered on parts, materials, and intermediate goods to exports focused on advanced technology and final consumer goods."
