[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] One student from A High School in Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do, has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the county on the 9th, the confirmed case classified as Jeonnam 1533 (Hwasun 86) was finally confirmed positive during a full inspection of 59 self-quarantined individuals at A High School the previous day.
The confirmed case is a classmate of Jeonnam 1510 (Hwasun 83) and Jeonnam 1512 (Hwasun 84), who were confirmed positive on the 5th.
All four family members of Jeonnam 1533 tested negative in diagnostic tests conducted on the 7th.
Jeonnam 1533 was confirmed positive during self-quarantine and has no local movement history. The county has isolated and hospitalized the confirmed case at Gangjin Medical Center.
As a preemptive measure, the county conducts full inspections every three days for those in self-quarantine.
Among the total 143 self-quarantined individuals related to A High School, 59 are self-quarantining in Hwasun.
Since Jeonnam 1496 was confirmed positive on the 4th, 10 confirmed cases have occurred in Hwasun up to the previous day.
