Installation of 1,266 Unmanned Speed Enforcement Cameras and 74 Signal Devices
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Gyeonggi Province is promoting the 'Children Protection Zone Improvement Project' together with 31 cities and counties within the province.
According to the province on the 9th, based on this year's demand survey by city and county, plans are in place to install 1,266 unmanned speed enforcement cameras, 74 traffic signals, 63 continuous speed bumps, floor-type pedestrian signals, and pedestrian signal voice guidance auxiliary devices.
To this end, a total budget of 92.7 billion KRW will be invested, including 46.8 billion KRW from the national government, 2.3 billion KRW from the provincial government, and 43.6 billion KRW from city and county governments.

A provincial official urged, "To create an environment where children in the province can commute safely, please comply with vehicle speed limits and traffic signals within children protection zones, and refrain from stopping or parking within these zones."
