The 'Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge' is a public campaign launched in December last year by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Ministry of Education to prevent traffic accidents in school zones and to establish a driving culture that prioritizes children's traffic safety. Participants take photos holding signs with the traffic safety slogan "Stop for 1 second! Look both ways twice! Wait for 3 seconds! Prevent 4 accidents!" and share them on social media (SNS), then nominate the next participant.
CEO Sung, who was nominated by Heo Yoon-hong, Head of New Business Division at GS Engineering & Construction, sympathized with the purpose of the campaign and participated by holding a sign with the traffic safety slogan at Youngone Holdings headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, hoping for the campaign's spread.
CEO Sung said, "I hope that this challenge will serve as a small but careful interest and practice by adults to contribute to the safe and healthy growth of children, who are the future generation," adding, "Following our participation in the 'Hand in Hand Campaign' to support social economy enterprises and the eco-friendly 'GoGo Challenge,' we will continue to make efforts to take responsibility and pay attention to various social issues."
CEO Sung nominated Koo Young, Director of Seoul National University Dental Hospital, and Choi Jeong-hoon, CEO of Ido, as the next challengers.
