Seoul City to Host September Global Startup Festival 'Try Everything'... Recruiting Participating Companies
Operation of Over 80 Programs Involving Startups and Global Investment Institutions from September 15 to 17
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 8th that it will hold the global startup festival "Try Everything," where promising startups, investors, and accelerators from around the world gather in one place, for three days from September 15 to 17.
Despite the COVID-19 crisis, last year the event was successfully completed under strict quarantine measures with the participation of 237 global startup ecosystem experts and 45 investment firms from 10 countries including the United States, Canada, and France.
This year, "Try Everything" has expanded in scale compared to last year, operating a total of about 80 specialized startup programs focused on scale-up and global expansion. Through the participation of various startup ecosystem players such as global conglomerates, investment institutions, unicorn companies, and media outlets, it aims to promote the activation of the startup ecosystem.
Starting this year, to broaden the connection between excellent startups and various public and private investors, a "customized ongoing investor (VC)-startup meet-up" process has been introduced. From the 9th, startups wishing to participate in the meet-up can apply online. Selected startups will receive opportunities for business consultation with the Seoul Business Support Center according to their business status and participation stage, as well as business cooperation and network building with investors and accelerators (VC·ACC). Among them, outstanding companies will participate in in-depth meet-ups and IR sessions with investors during the main Try Everything event period.
