Pohang City Wins 'Best Award' in Gyeongbuk Province Evaluation for COVID-19 Job Creation Project
Achieved 764 Hires, 140% of This Year's Recruitment Target
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Pohang City announced on the 7th that it received the 'Excellence Award' in the rapid promotion evaluation of the 'Financial Support Direct Employment Project,' which is being promoted by Gyeongbuk Province as part of a comprehensive plan to revitalize the public livelihood energy.
The 'Financial Support Direct Employment Project' is a project aimed at early hiring of 80% of the target number of jobs within the first quarter for vulnerable employment groups, to revive the livelihood economy faced by small business owners and self-employed people who have suffered huge damage to their livelihoods due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Pohang City achieved 764 hires, which is 140% of the 2021 hiring target of 544 among 91 self-operated financial support direct employment projects, demonstrating outstanding performance in the number of projects achieved and additional points for the number of hires.
