Changwon-si Holds Opening Ceremony for New Uichang-dong Administrative Welfare Center Building
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Changwon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 3rd that it held an opening ceremony at the new Uichang-dong Administrative Welfare Center and officially began operations.
The opening ceremony was attended by Changwon Mayor Heo Seong-mu, National Assembly member Park Wan-su, Changwon City Council Chairman Lee Chi-woo, provincial and city council members, and heads of organizations and institutions.
In the case of the existing Uichang-dong, the building of the Uichang-dong Administrative Welfare Center was old and the space was cramped, so residents continuously requested the construction of a new center, leading to the start of construction in August 2019.
The new center has a total floor area of 4,241㎡, with one basement floor and four above-ground floors, and includes a comprehensive civil service office, fitness room, yoga room, informatization training center, art room, and language and writing classroom.
