[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) will invite a pediatric and adolescent psychiatrist to hold a non-face-to-face public health lecture on the 30th.
The event is attracting the interest of residents concerned about their children's social development and peer relationship skills, and applications are being accepted via email and phone on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 100 participants.
This lecture, held as part of the Seongbuk-gu Mental Health Welfare Center's pediatric and adolescent mental health promotion project, will be conducted online (YouTube). It is organized through the voluntary contributions of Director Song Min-jae of Seongbuk Woori Children’s Hospital and Director Choi Eun-hyung of Mujigae Mental Health Clinic.
A district official stated, “This lecture for residents with children is structured around case studies that may appear diversely during the social development process across the life cycle,” adding, “It will not only help understand the social development of children and adolescents but also serve as a valuable opportunity to learn about the role of parents in helping their children grow healthily through positive peer experiences.”
They also added, “Now, more than ever, there are many concerns about children's social development, and it is necessary to have a place where mental health experts share their clinical experience and theories to provide insights on ‘sociality’.”
