Geoje City Launches Local Youth Job Creation Through 'Youth Startup Doodream Project'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Geoje City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 2nd that its "Youth Startup Dodream Project" was selected for the Ministry of Employment and Labor's regional and industry-customized job creation youth-specialized support project, securing a project fund of 230 million KRW.
This contest is a project where the Ministry of Employment and Labor comprehensively reviews and selects proposals that discover and suggest projects suitable for regional and industrial characteristics, such as vocational training, employment, and startup support targeting local youth.
The city proposed the Dodream Project reflecting the demand of young people seeking new jobs through startups, and plans to provide phased support including professional education, customized consulting, and initial business expenses to support successful startups.
The support target is youth wishing to start a business in Geoje City, and detailed information will be announced through the city hall website in June.
