Shinhan Financial Investment Provides Real-Time Quotes for U.S. Stocks
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Shinhan Financial Investment announced on the 2nd that it will provide real-time quotes for US stocks free of charge to all overseas stock investors. In addition, it upgraded overseas stock services such as extending pre-market order hours and expanding the types of StockCon.
Shinhan Financial Investment signed a usage contract with the US Nasdaq Stock Market and NASDAQ Basic. Through this, Shinhan Financial Investment customers can view real-time quotes for stocks listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), Nasdaq (NASDAQ), and AMEX.

Shinhan Financial Investment extended the pre-market order hours for US stocks. Previously, trading was possible in the pre-market from 9 PM until before the regular market opened (10:30 PM, or 11:30 PM when daylight saving time ends), but with the service expansion, trading is now available from 5 PM Korean time (6 PM when daylight saving time ends) until before the regular market opens.

The types of StockCon, overseas stock gift certificates, were also added. In addition to the existing 4,100 won, 12,000 won, 25,000 won, and 30,000 won denominations, 10,000 won and 50,000 won denominations will be added for sale. A Shinhan Financial Investment official said, “Through this expanded sales lineup, customers will be able to gift overseas stocks more conveniently.”
