Caught Red-Handed Trying to Sell a Stolen Bicycle on a Secondhand Site
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] A suspect who tried to sell a stolen high-priced bicycle on a secondhand trading site just one hour after stealing it was caught by the police.
According to the police on the 2nd, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul urgently arrested and booked Mr. A on the same day morning on suspicion of special theft for stealing a bicycle worth about 1.5 million won.
Mr. A, around 1 a.m. that day, cut the lock of the victim Mr. B's bicycle stored in the bicycle storage of an officetel located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, using a cutter he had, and stole the bicycle.
At around 2:17 p.m. on the same day, Mr. B reported to the police that "my bicycle was stolen and my item is posted on a secondhand trading site." The stolen bicycle was attempted to be sold in an area close to the theft location just one hour after the theft. Afterwards, Mr. B arranged to meet Mr. A for the transaction.

The police staked out the meeting place at around 2:54 p.m. that day, and when the victim confirmed the stolen item, Mr. A was urgently arrested on the spot on suspicion of special theft.
