Geoje City Selected for National and Public Childcare Center Green Remodeling Contest... Secures 455 Million KRW in National and Provincial Funding
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Geoje City in Gyeongnam announced on the 2nd that the local ‘Gukgongnip Sarangbit Childcare Center’ was selected for the ‘Public Building Green Remodeling Contest,’ securing 455 million KRW in national and provincial funding.
This project aims to create a comfortable and healthy childcare environment by installing renewable energy facilities in national and public childcare centers that are over 10 years old, improving energy efficiency, air quality, and IT infrastructure.
Last year, the city also carried out this project at one national and public childcare center with a budget of 427 million KRW, resulting in a reduction in the building’s energy consumption, which led to high satisfaction among both childcare providers and users.
