OECD Ministerial Council Concludes First Half... Hong Nam-ki Expects Digital Tax Principles to Be Established in July
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)'s highest decision-making meeting, the mid-year Ministerial Council Meeting, has concluded, the Ministry of Economy and Finance announced on the 2nd.
This meeting, themed "Common Values: Building a Green and Inclusive Future," was held over two days from May 31 to June 1, with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Hong Nam-ki attending as the chief representative of our government.
At this council, Deputy Prime Minister Hong emphasized that the international community must cooperate in three directions: resilience, inclusiveness, and innovation, and expressed hope that principles related to the digital tax will be established by July this year.
