Jungjingong, Five Agencies in Jinju Innovation City Jointly Conduct 'Integrity Education'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 2nd that it held a joint 'Integrity Live' event with five public institutions located in Jinju Innovation City at its headquarters auditorium in Jinju, Gyeongnam, in celebration of Ethics Management Day.
Integrity Live is an integrity education program operated by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission's Integrity Training Institute for public institutions. It is characterized by being conducted in a concert format using various contents such as integrity pansori, theater, and sand art. The two-hour integrity education on that day featured contents including the pansori 'Chunhyangga,' which reinterprets traditional pansori with a modern sensibility; the madanggeuk (traditional Korean play) 'As Heavy as a Mountain, Fly Like a Butterfly,' which dramatizes the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act; the sand art 'On a Starry Night,' an award-winning work from the Integrity Content Contest by the Anti-Corruption Commission; and inspiring integrity videos.

About 1,000 employees from five institutions including SBC, Korea Testing Laboratory, Korea Ceramic Technology Institute, Korea Elevator Safety Agency, and Korea Copyright Commission participated in the education. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the number of participants for in-person education was limited to 100, while the remaining employees joined online. Prior to the education, nine people including SBC Chairman Kim Hak-do, heads of each institution, and standing auditors formed a consensus on cooperation to improve the integrity of public institutions and spread a culture of integrity to the local community. Chairman Kim Hak-do stated, "SBC will do its best to improve integrity and spread a culture of integrity through transparent institution management."
