LG Sangsa to Change Company Name to 'LX International'
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] LG Sangsa is pushing to change its company name to 'LX International.'
On the 1st, LG Sangsa announced through the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system that it will convene an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on the 25th with the agenda of 'Amendment of Articles of Incorporation' for the purpose of changing the company name in Korean and English.
The Korean company name to be changed is 'Jusikhoesa LX International,' and the English name is 'LX INTERNATIONAL CORP.' Currently, LG Sangsa's English company name is 'LG INTERNATIONAL CORP.'
The company name 'LX International' chosen by LG Sangsa will be presented as an agenda item for amending the articles of incorporation at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to be held at 9 a.m. on the 25th at the LG Gwanghwamun Building, and will be finally decided as the new company name through a resolution. The amended articles of incorporation through the extraordinary general meeting resolution will take effect from the 1st of next month.
LG Sangsa, which was incorporated as a subsidiary of LX Holdings, a newly established holding company spun off from LG last month, has been reviewing two options for the company name change: LX Global and LX International.

In February, LG Sangsa registered LX Global as a provisional company name, and in April, it additionally registered the name LX International provisionally.
