SH Corporation Forms Appointment Committee... "Announcement Soon, Initiating New CEO Appointment Process"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) is entering the process of appointing a new president.
According to SH Corporation on the 31st, Seoul City, the Seoul Metropolitan Council, and SH Corporation recently formed an Executive Recommendation Committee (ERC) for the appointment of the president.
According to the Ordinance on the Operation of Seoul City Invested and Contributed Institutions, the ERC is composed of internal and external experts recommended by each institution: 2 from Seoul City, 3 from the Seoul Metropolitan Council, and 2 from SH Corporation.
With the ERC formed, SH Corporation plans to announce the recruitment for the president position soon. Afterwards, the ERC will conduct document screening and interviews for applicants and recommend two final candidates to the Mayor of Seoul. Once the mayor selects the final candidate, the appointment will be finalized after a personnel hearing by the Metropolitan Council. The term is usually three years. Considering the procedure, it is expected to take 2 to 3 months until the appointment.
The position of SH Corporation president has remained vacant since Mayor Oh Se-hoon's inauguration. Former president Kim Se-yong completed his three-year term and stepped down on April 7, the day of the by-election.
