Professor Odongyun of Dong-A University Appointed as New President of Korea Institute for Advancement of Small and Medium Enterprises

[Asia Economy Reporter Junhyung Lee] The Korea Small Business Institute announced on the 1st that Professor Odongyun of Dong-A University’s Department of Economics has been appointed as the 8th president. The new president’s term is three years.
President Oh, born in 1969, graduated from the Department of Economics at the University of Hawaii, USA. He then earned a master's degree in area studies from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and a doctorate in economics from Sungkyunkwan University. After working at the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP), Lotte Economic Research Institute, and the Small and Medium Business Research Institute, he has served as a professor in the Department of Economics at Dong-A University since 2014.

The Small and Medium Business Research Institute stated, "President Oh has led research on small business policies based on economics," adding, "He has enhanced the practicality and realism of policies with a balanced perspective between small businesses as policy demanders and the government as the policy supplier."
