He received 4.22 points in the weekly official golf world rankings announced on the afternoon of the 31st (Korean time). He secured points by winning the PGA Tour Charles Schwab Challenge (total prize money $7.5 million) held at Colonial Golf Club (par 70, 7,209 yards) near Fort Worth, Texas, USA, which ended that morning. Following his first victory at The CJ Cup in October last year, which was included in the 2021 season, this is his second career win in seven months, with a winner's prize of $1.35 million (15.1 billion KRW).
