Former Education Director Kim Myung-sik Selected as Honorary Citizen of Wando County

According to Wando County on the 31st, at this year's 50th County Citizens' Day commemorative event, former Wando Education Superintendent Kim Myung-sik, Chairman Jeong Han-young of Han Young E&C, CEO Oh Jong-taek of Daesan C&D Co., Ltd., and Professor Kang Bong-ryong of Mokpo National University were selected as honorary citizens.
Former Education Superintendent Kim was honored as an honorary citizen in recognition of his dedication to the development of local education and his contributions to the advancement of education in the region during his tenure as Wando Education Superintendent from March 2019 to February of this year.
Former Superintendent Kim has served as a teacher at Busan Yeondong Elementary School, a scholarship officer for 8 years (at Jeonnam Gangjin, Gwangyang, Gurye, and Yeosu Education Support Offices), vice principal of Yeosu Yangji Elementary School and Ansim Elementary School, principal of Yeosu Hwayang Elementary School, and Wando Education Superintendent. He is currently serving as principal of Suncheon Dosa Elementary School.
In addition, as a lesson supervision agent and special research teacher, he worked to establish elementary English education in Jeonnam and has been active for over 15 years as a lecturer for elementary teachers at training centers, Gwangju National University of Education, and Suncheon National University. He has been creatively supporting school sites as a professional and has been recognized for his efforts in democratic school management as an administrator.
Former Superintendent Kim said, "I am honored to receive the honorary citizen award on the occasion of the 50th Wando County Citizens' Day," adding, "I had the best time creating unforgettable memories in Wando, interacting with many people, and exchanging love."
