Geochang-gun Provides 1 Million Won Disaster Relief Fund to Event and Performance-Related Businesses
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 31st that it will provide disaster relief funds to event, festival, and performance-related businesses facing financial difficulties due to decreased sales caused by the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
This support is part of the second phase of Gyeongnam Province's blind spot support measures, aiming to alleviate the damage to industries left out of existing aid, by providing disaster relief funds of 1 million KRW per business.
The support targets businesses whose workplaces are located in Geochang-gun as of the project implementation announcement date, April 19, 2021, and that fall within the 40-60% sales decrease range among government-designated crisis industries eligible for the Emergency Relief Fund Plus, as well as businesses that did not receive the Emergency Relief Fund Plus but experienced a sales decrease compared to the standard amount.
Businesses that received the government Emergency Relief Fund Plus will be paid through the account that received the fund without a separate application process. Other eligible businesses must apply, and payments will be made after reviewing eligibility, sales decrease status, and duplication of support.
