Dongdaemun-gu Trains General Security Guards for Reemployment of Middle-Aged and Older Adults
Free General Security Guard Training Course for 90 Residents Aged 40-65... Recruiting 30 Participants for the First Session Until June 9, Including Practical Employment Support Services
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol) is operating a special employment support project, a training course for new general security guards, targeting middle-aged and older adults who are having difficulty job hunting due to employment stagnation caused by COVID-19 and other factors.
The general security guard training is aimed at residents aged 40 to 65 who intend to work as security guards. From June to October, a total of 90 people will be recruited over three sessions, and the program will be offered completely free of charge.
Each session will recruit 30 people on a first-come, first-served basis, and 30% of the recruits will be preferentially selected from vulnerable groups.
The main content of the training includes mandatory legal education required for security guard employment such as the Security Services Act and crime prevention theory, elevator safety manager training, and a career design and job seeker course.
Additionally, to facilitate employment after completing the training, practical job placement services such as one-on-one counseling through the Job Center will be provided to ensure connection to employment.
The recruitment period for the first session of the security guard training is from May 31 to June 9, and the training period is from June 21 to 25, consisting of a total of 34 hours over 5 days.
