The rain, which began on the afternoon of the 30th along the west coast, will expand overnight to the central region, northern Jeonbuk, and northern Gyeongbuk, and by dawn, rain will also fall in northern Jeonnam, southern Gyeongbuk, and northwestern inland areas of Gyeongnam. Most of the rain is expected to stop by around 6 a.m. However, in Yeongseo of Gangwon, northern Chungbuk, and northern Gyeongbuk, rain may continue in some places until the morning commute hours.
Expected precipitation amounts are 30 to 80 mm along the southern Gyeonggi west coast and the Chungnam west coast, 10 to 50 mm in southern metropolitan area, inland Chungnam, Jeonbuk west coast, and the five western islands, and 5 to 30 mm in other regions.
As strong rain clouds develop, the southern Gyeonggi west coast and Chungnam west coast will experience heavy rain exceeding 30 mm per hour, and the southern metropolitan inland area, inland Chungnam, and Jeonbuk west coast will see heavy rain of 10 to 30 mm per hour. Gusts of wind, thunder, and lightning are also expected in some areas, so caution is advised. Hail is also expected mainly in the western island areas, so attention should be paid to preventing damage to ships and vehicles as well as safety accidents.
The morning low temperature will range from 13 to 17 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature will range from 19 to 29 degrees Celsius. Daytime temperatures will exceed 25 degrees in most parts of the country, but the metropolitan area, Gangwon, and northern Gyeongbuk are expected to be relatively cool, staying below 25 degrees.
