Neighbor who complained to "be quiet" arrested for assault with soju bottle, 60s detained
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 60s was arrested for assaulting a neighbor with a soju bottle after being asked to "be quiet" while drinking late at night.
Seoul Geumcheon Police Station announced on the 30th that they had arrested and indicted a man in his 60s, identified as A, on the 28th on charges of special assault and obstruction of official duties.
According to the police, on the 23rd at around 10:30 PM, A was drinking with companions at his home in Geumcheon-gu when a neighbor next door protested, saying, "It's too noisy, please be quiet." A then immediately followed the neighbor and struck the neighbor's head with a soju bottle and punched the face.
Police who responded to the report arrested A on the spot. During the arrest process, A also assaulted the police officers, adding charges of obstruction of official duties. Subsequently, an arrest warrant was issued, and A was detained.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and was diagnosed with injuries requiring two weeks of recovery.
