National Science Museum to Hold Basic Science Content Contest on Physics
[Asia Economy, Kim Bongsoo] The National Science Museum announced on May 30 that it will hold the "Basic Science Content (Physics Edition) Contest," focusing on physics as its theme.
This event is part of a science culture initiative led by the public. Following the themes of chemistry and life science in 2020, physics has been chosen as this year’s subject. The event is a science festival where participants create video content related to basic science (physics) themselves, sharing their interest in and enthusiasm for basic science. It is part of the Basic Science Experience Event ("Wise Science Life"), which will be held starting July 12.
Applications are accepted in two categories: individual (1 person) and group (2 to 5 people). Anyone can participate. Video topics include physics ideas in everyday life, fun experiments demonstrating physics principles, storytelling that explains physics in an easy-to-understand way, and other unique content related to physics, such as songs or dance.
To participate, applicants must download an application form from the National Science Museum website between June 1 and July 11 and submit it along with a video of up to five minutes. The submitted basic science video content will be made available to the public on a dedicated website starting July 12.
