Support Fund of 39.5 Million KRW Provided to 53 Elderly Care Facilities to Ensure Stable Operation... Proactive 8-Stage Quarantine Measures Implemented at 58 Senior Welfare Facilities in Dongdaemun-gu
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor You Deok-yeol) announced that it will provide quarantine support until December, including providing subsidies to elderly welfare facilities to alleviate the burden of quarantine due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
To stabilize facility operations, a livelihood support fund of 39.5 million KRW was provided to 53 elderly welfare facilities within Dongdaemun-gu.
Elderly nursing facilities and daycare centers each received 1 million KRW, while elderly nursing group homes and short-term care centers were given 500,000 KRW in support funds.
Additionally, considering that users of elderly welfare facilities are a high-risk group for infectious diseases, the district announced plans to provide quarantine support until August. A total of 58 facilities, including nursing homes, daycare centers, short-term care centers, and home-based elderly support centers, will undergo quarantine measures eight times in total.
