Imsil County Shooting Team Wins 2nd Place in Women's Individual Event at National Competition
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] The shooting team of Imsil County Office, Jeonbuk (Coach Kwak Minsu) announced on the 26th that they won 2nd place in the women's general individual event at the '2021 Korea Business Shooting Federation President's Cup National Shooting Competition' held from the 19th to 23rd at Changwon International Shooting Range in Gyeongnam.
This competition was the first official event held in about a year and a half due to COVID-19, and to prevent the spread of the virus, the opening ceremony was omitted and the event was held without spectators.
All 10 teams from the nationwide women's general business teams participated in the competition.
The Imsil County Office shooting team participated in the 25m powder pistol and 10m air pistol events.
Player Hwang Seong-eun (Imsil County Office) took second place after a final shoot-off against Kim Min-jung (KB Kookmin Bank), who was ranked number one in the world in 2019, in the 25m powder pistol event with 41 participants.
Having served as a national team player from 2015 to 2016 and in 2020, she is a player whose future performance is highly anticipated.
Coach Kwak Minsu said, “Despite the difficult training endured under harsh conditions where it was impossible to maintain competitive form due to COVID-19, the players did their best, and with the full support and cooperation of the county, we were able to achieve excellent results. We will do our best to achieve good results throughout this year.”
