'Dynamite DNA' Selected as One of Asia Economy's Top 38 Hit Products for the First Half of 2021
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Our economy is rebounding from the shock of COVID-19. The KOSPI index has surpassed 3100, and there are expectations that South Korea's economic growth rate this year will reach the 4% range.
The revival of the economy is largely due to companies that have continuously developed and sold quality products. These companies consistently introduce innovative products to consumers, invigorating the economy.
Especially in the first half of this year, many innovative products from companies across various sectors have emerged.
In the home appliance industry, new TV models stood out. Samsung Electronics, aiming to maintain its position as the world's No. 1 TV seller for the 16th consecutive year, introduced the Neo QLED 8K TV. It features the 'Quantum Mini LED,' which is 1/40th the size of conventional LED elements, controlled by the 'Neo Quantum Matrix Pro' technology, delivering industry-leading contrast ratio and black detail.
LG Electronics expanded its main OLED TV lineup to 6 series and 18 models, broadening customer choices. For ultra-large TVs over 70 inches, there are 11 models, four more than last year.

Innovative products in the financial sector also caught attention. KB Kookmin Bank announced that anyone can easily practice financial management by splitting accounts with the KB My Fit Account. Since funds for different purposes are managed within a single account, users can easily transfer balances to basic expenses, living expenses, and emergency funds using a transfer button, eliminating the hassle of managing multiple accounts and enhancing budget management convenience.
IBK Industrial Bank's savings product offering high interest rates in the ultra-low interest rate era is also noteworthy. IBK partnered with the sports content platform SPOTV to launch the 'IBK SPOTV Now Savings.' The interest rate is up to 5% annually, combining a base rate of 0.5% with a preferential rate of up to 4.5%.
The retail industry also had many hit products, loved by customers for their consistent quality over a long period. Lotte Chilsung Beverage's flagship premium beer 'Cloud' renewed its package design on its 7th anniversary.
Dongseo Food's Oreo, which originated in the United States in 1912, is known as the world's best-selling sandwich cookie.
