Opposition Party Leadership Support: Lee Jun-seok 30.3%, Na Kyung-won 18.4%

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] In a poll on the next leader of the People Power Party, former Supreme Council member Lee Jun-seok recorded a support rate of 30%, widening the gap with former lawmaker Na Kyung-won by more than 10 percentage points.
According to a survey conducted by Realmeter commissioned by JTBC over two days starting from the 22nd, targeting 1,013 adults, former Supreme Council member Lee's support rate was tallied at 30.3%. This is an 11.9 percentage point difference from former lawmaker Na, who ranked second with 18.4%.
Following former lawmaker Na were lawmaker Joo Ho-young (9.5%), lawmaker Kim Eun-hye (4.1%), lawmaker Kim Woong (3.1%), lawmakers Cho Kyung-tae and Hong Moon-pyo (each 2.9%), and lawmaker Yoon Young-seok (1.3%) in that order.
In a survey conducted among 468 People Power Party supporters excluding ruling party supporters and independents, former Supreme Council member Lee also ranked first with 39.3%. Former lawmaker Na Kyung-won had 24.0%, lawmaker Joo Ho-young 11.7%, lawmakers Kim Eun-hye and Cho Kyung-tae each 3.1%, lawmaker Kim Woong 3.0%, lawmaker Hong Moon-pyo 1.8%, and lawmaker Yoon Young-seok 0.4%.
Former Supreme Council member Lee received the highest support from both men and women by gender, and by age group, he had the highest support in all age groups except those in their 60s. Among those aged 60 and above, former lawmaker Na led with 34.9%, surpassing former Supreme Council member Lee's 31.7%.
Regionally, former Supreme Council member Lee led in all areas except Gangwon Province. In particular, in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region, a stronghold of the People Power Party, former Supreme Council member Lee recorded 27.7%, former lawmaker Na 26.5%, and lawmaker Joo 22.0% support rates.

Meanwhile, a survey of all respondents on preferred presidential candidates showed former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-youl in first place with 32.9%, followed by Gyeonggi Province Governor Lee Jae-myung with 30.0%.
