Born2Global Center is a specialized institution supporting the overseas expansion of innovative technology companies, providing global management consulting and market validation (PMF) programs. Through cooperation with partners possessing innovative technology demands such as global conglomerates, governments, and international organizations, it actively supports business development and investment linkage for excellent innovative companies.
Ulike Korea is a livestock healthcare service specialist. It independently developed the LiveCare service for cattle, which integrates livestock ICT and artificial intelligence analysis technology, officially launching it in October 2015, and provides commercial services in domestic and Japanese markets. It has completed technology verification in overseas markets including Brazil, UAE, Germany, Mongolia, and Paraguay, and is promoting livestock healthcare services for various species such as calves, chickens, sheep, and pigs.
Ulike Korea's 'LiveCare' service measures biometric data such as body temperature and activity levels in real-time within the rumen of cattle through a bio-capsule embedded with IoT sensors. When biometric data is transmitted using the LoRa network, analysis results based on AI technology and deep learning are provided to farm users via applications and web programs.
Recognized for its DNA (Data, Network & AI) innovative technology, Ulike Korea was finally selected for the "2021 DNA Convergence Product and Service Overseas Expansion Support Project" hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, and will actively promote the establishment of a technology-matching joint venture (JV) corporation in Paraguay within 2021.
In September last year, Ulike Korea signed an MOU with Good Neighbors Global Impact to revitalize social economy projects in Paraguay's dairy sector. The smart livestock healthcare solution, LiveCare service, was successfully implemented at a dairy farm near Asuncion, the capital.
Through local professional personnel and network connections, Ulike Korea plans to establish the Paraguay JV joint venture corporation within the year and expand smart livestock business targeting not only dairy and beef cattle but also the poultry market.
Additionally, through the 'Target Region Specialized Overseas Expansion Support Project,' which supports consulting and network programs necessary for overseas investment attraction and sales acquisition, Ulike Korea plans to actively expand sales channels in the Brazilian market, the country with the world's largest cattle population of 210 million heads. Utilizing legal, management, PMF expert consulting, and global networks, it is expected to gain competitiveness in the South American market with services optimized for the Brazilian environment.
Ulike Korea operates the ‘LiveCare Artificial Intelligence (AI) Data Center,’ which specializes in researching livestock diseases and statutory infectious diseases based on over 500 million livestock disease biometric data records.
Kim Hee-jin, CEO of Ulike Korea, said, "The South American market holds enormous potential, accounting for 20% (about 300 million heads) of the global cattle market of 1.5 billion heads. We are pleased to be able to actively pioneer sales channels in the Brazilian and Paraguayan markets through this opportunity," adding, "In the future, we want to prove the competitiveness of Korean smart livestock technology in the South American Common Market (MERCOSUR), including Argentina and Uruguay."
