Fire at Gangnam-gu Public Health Center in Seoul... 9 Staff Evacuated
No Harm from COVID-19 Vaccine
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A fire broke out at the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center in Seoul at around 5:58 a.m. on the 24th.
The fire continued for about an hour, burning the exterior walls of the health center, and was extinguished at around 7:04 a.m. Nine health center employees evacuated due to the fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
The fire authorities reported that the fire started from cardboard boxes outside the health center building and are currently investigating the exact cause.

A Gangnam-gu Office official stated, "The fire did not spread inside the building, so there was no damage to the stored COVID-19 vaccines," adding, "Inspections and vaccination schedules will proceed as normal."
