According to the police and media reports on the 23rd, A (24) was arrested and is under investigation on suspicion of stabbing his friend B (24) in the arm and chest with a weapon on the 11th floor of an officetel in Namdong-gu, Incheon, at around 1:28 a.m. that day.
The police responded to a report saying, "We heard cries for help on the 11th floor of the officetel," and arrested A on the spot. Earlier, the victim B was found bleeding and in cardiac arrest in the lobby on the 1st floor of the officetel and was transported to a nearby hospital by the 119 emergency medical team but died.
A chased the victim B and even wielded the weapon in the elevator, and it was reported that he was staying at his home at the time of the arrest.
The arrested A reportedly stated that while drinking with B at his officetel, an argument started because B had been ignoring him, which escalated his emotions.
