View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] The People Power Party immediately demanded an apology from Democratic Party lawmaker So Byung-hoon, who posted a message suggesting that the contents of the South Korea-U.S. summit be explained to the Chinese side.
On the 23rd, Park Ki-nyung, deputy spokesperson of the People Power Party, reacted by saying in a statement, "A ruling party lawmaker has publicly advocated for 'humiliating diplomacy.'
This was in response to So's post on his social media service (SNS), where he wrote, "On President Moon's way back home, it would be good if one of the key aides stopped by China to explain about the summit," which sparked controversy. The post has since been deleted.
Deputy spokesperson Park said, "It is very surprising to see such a servile mindset, as if we should even report the results of the South Korea-U.S. summit to China," adding, "Following President Moon Jae-in's China Dream (中國夢) and praise of the great power (大國), now a ruling party lawmaker publicly demands an explanation of the summit. It is concerning what kind of mindset the government and ruling party have in managing state affairs."
