Israel and Hamas Agree to Ceasefire Without Conditions
[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] Israel and the Palestinian armed faction Hamas have agreed to halt the ten-day-long armed conflict.
According to foreign media on the 20th (local time), the Israeli government approved the ceasefire plan that day. It has been exactly ten days since Hamas's preemptive attack on the 10th, which was met with fierce bombing in response.
Hamas also confirmed this fact, and major foreign media reported that both sides agreed to enter a ceasefire starting at 2 a.m. on the 21st.
The Palestinian side also expressed a welcoming stance toward Israel's ceasefire decision for the time being.
