According to Gwangyang Police Station on the 20th, at around 8:20 a.m. that day, a man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, was caught by his head in a pressing machine at a steel product manufacturing factory in Taein-dong, Gwangyang-si, Jeonnam.
A colleague who discovered the accident site called 119, and Mr. A was transported to the hospital but was reported dead.
Mr. A was a regular employee of the factory and was in charge of production work on the equipment where the accident occurred.
