KOTRA Accelerates Investment Attraction for International Logistics Center... Non-face-to-face Investment Consultation Meeting
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] KOTRA announced that from the 20th, it will hold a 'Joint Non-Face-to-Face Investment Consultation' over two days at its headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul, targeting global potential investment companies it has identified to attract investment for the International Logistics Center (GDC) within the Incheon Airport Free Trade Zone.
This consultation will be conducted jointly by three related organizations, including the Korea Customs Service and Incheon International Airport Corporation, to promote efficient investment attraction. KOTRA Invest Korea, a global investment attraction platform, will actively emphasize to potential investors the excellent air connectivity, geographical advantages, and superior logistics infrastructure of Incheon Airport by leveraging its rich experience and know-how in investment attraction.
The Korea Customs Service will promote the excellence of Korea's customs administration related to logistics centers within the Incheon Airport Free Trade Zone and its willingness to improve regulations reflecting the needs of investment companies. Additionally, Incheon International Airport Corporation will introduce the soon-to-be-completed third phase of the Free Trade Zone and provide detailed explanations of the procedures, requirements, and benefits necessary for actual investment.

Ten global leading companies in fields such as e-commerce, healthcare, and fashion, which wish to establish international logistics centers, will participate in this event. Jang Sang-hyun, CEO of KOTRA Invest Korea, stated, "Through this event, we aim to attract at least two or more overseas companies to the international logistics center," adding, "This will create up to 100 million USD in foreign currency attraction and generate employment for over 250 people."
