Yeonggwang Mango Farm Awarded ‘Grand Prize’ for Jeonnam Outstanding Young Farmer

The county has had the honor of winning the grand prize for two consecutive years following last year.
The Jeonnam Top Young Farmer selection is a project that selects outstanding young farmers who have become successful models centered on technological agriculture by utilizing creative ideas and new agricultural technologies, with a maximum prize money of 45 million KRW.
The selection of awardees involved a first round of document screening evaluating the utilization of local resources, education, technology, patents, and other competencies and expertise, followed by a second round of on-site evaluation of successful models applying new technologies.
CEO Park Minho is a young farmer leading the development of domestic subtropical crops by researching and developing apple mango cultivation methods and distributing them to public institutions and farms nationwide.
He also injects youthful vitality into the aging rural areas, having been selected as a New Knowledge Farmer by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs last year.
