KAMA to Hold New Product and Technology Presentation in Hydrogen Sector in September
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] The Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association (KAMA) announced that it will hold the first 'H2 Innovation Award' in September to focus on fostering the hydrogen ecosystem and discovering new technologies.
This event is a hydrogen sector new product and new technology presentation and awards ceremony involving large, medium, and small enterprises as well as startups. The 'New Technology and New Product Presentation,' which was previously held as a side event of the Hydrogen Mobility+ Show exhibition, will be elevated to an independent official event to enhance its credibility.
To this end, it will be co-hosted with specialized organizations such as the Hydrogen Convergence Alliance, the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology, and the Korea Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning Agency.
The scope of participation will also be expanded to include not only exhibitors at the exhibition but also domestic and international companies, thereby strengthening technological innovation in the hydrogen sector.
The event will proceed in two stages: preliminary and final rounds. Throughout each stage, it is characterized by comprehensive 'presentation, exhibition, and networking,' rather than merely introducing technology.
Through this, each company will deeply introduce its new technologies, and by linking with the Hydrogen Mobility+ Show, Korea's representative exhibition, it will be structured to connect to practical business activities.

A representative from the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association stated, "We plan to develop the H2 Innovation Award into a global advanced hydrogen mobility and energy technology innovation platform," adding, "We expect that continuous and systematic hosting of the event will contribute to securing competitiveness and technological innovation in Korea's hydrogen industry."
