Thinning Work of Dan-gam Persimmon Flowers at Farms in Dong-eup, Changwon-si
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Chairman Kim Hayong, along with about 60 provincial council members and staff, visited a persimmon orchard located in Dong-eup, Uichang-gu, Changwon City, to help with farm work during the busy spring farming season.
Amid the ongoing occurrence of COVID-19 cases in the Gyeongnam region, they minimized the gathering size by dividing into three farms with fewer than 20 people each, working hard on orchard tasks.
Chairman Kim said, "I am glad that we could be of some help to farms suffering from severe labor shortages due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic," and added, "I ask for the interest and participation of all residents to support farmers."
