Gwangyang Fire Station Operates 'Fire Prevention Consulting Support Center' for Construction Sites
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Jeonnam Gwangyang Fire Station (Chief Choi Hyun-kyung) announced on the 18th that it is operating a fire prevention consulting support center to strengthen preemptive activities at construction sites and create a safe and secure environment from fires.
Gwangyang Fire Station distributes guidance notices to large construction sites over 3,000㎡ in total area within its jurisdiction and specific fire safety objects (Class 1 and 2), instructing them to report welding and cutting work two days in advance, thereby operating the fire prevention consulting support center.
Additionally, the support center's operations include distributing welding and cutting safety manuals, mandatory placement of fire watchers, guidance on temporary fire facilities (manual distribution), hazardous materials safety management checks, and safety education for construction personnel, as well as instructions on actions to take in case of fire.
