Chairperson Jeon said, "My election as an IOI director was possible because the efforts to protect the rights of vulnerable groups such as the elderly, disabled, and youth through grievance resolution and institutional improvements were recognized by Asian member countries. I will strive for broad communication and cooperation with IOI member countries to share Korea’s experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic and to propose directions for the development of Asian and global ombudsman institutions as the head of a leading ombudsman organization."
