Gyeongnam Office of Education Audits Special School Foundation Over Alleged Coercion of Staff to Donate Funds
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] The Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 17th that it will conduct an audit on the foundation of a local special school suspected of coercing staff members to make donations.
The school foundation is suspected of forcing staff to make donations for several years, mentioning teacher performance bonuses and personnel evaluations.
There are also claims that relatives of the foundation working in the school administration office excessively supervised staff members, engaging in power harassment.
This information became known after a staff member of the school posted related content on the National Petition Board at the end of last month.
The office will conduct an on-site audit for one week starting from that day to verify the facts of the allegations.
