The Federation had previously been operating at the Small and Medium Business Research Institute in Sindaebang-dong, Dongjak-gu, Seoul since 2016, carrying out activities related to small business owners. The organization stated that this office relocation marks a turning point to strengthen communication with the National Assembly and related institutions and to accelerate efforts to elevate the status of small business owners.
