Lotte Duty Free Successfully Hosts Online Family Concert... Achieves 3 Million Views
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Lotte Duty Free announced on the 17th that it successfully concluded the 31st Family Concert. This concert was held online and recorded a total of 3 million views. Under the slogan "Meet the green vibes, Greet the duty free life," the concert featured top domestic artists such as Super Junior-D&E, BTS, TWICE, ITZY, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER.
In particular, in collaboration with CJ ENM, the concert applied metaverse enter-tech using the latest augmented reality (AR) and extended reality (XR) technologies on stage. Through this, the virtual space was vividly created like reality, overcoming the limitations of a non-face-to-face online performance and presenting a top-level stage.
Before the performance, Lotte Duty Free emphasized its commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management to customers by introducing eco-friendly management, social contribution, and strengthening the fair trade compliance system. The performing artists also mentioned the meaning of Lotte Duty Free’s eco-friendly campaign "Duty4Earth," encouraging environmental protection practices and expressing anticipation for the upcoming free travel.
The Lotte Duty Free online Family Concert provided various attractions for customers, including a talk show with stars as well as the performance. During the surprise TWICE talk show revealed between the first and second parts of the concert, Super Junior’s Shindong appeared as a special MC, delighting customers’ eyes and ears with sincere and cheerful talks.
Lee Gap, CEO of Lotte Duty Free, said, “Thanks to the support of customers worldwide, we were able to successfully conclude the second Lotte Duty Free online Family Concert,” and added, “I hope that we can all quickly regain our daily lives and enjoy the Korean Wave cultural festival with customers on site.”
