[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do will open 'Geochang Changpowon,' the first local garden in Gyeongnam, on the 15th.
'Geochang Changpowon' is located in the Wolpyeong-ri area of Geochang-gun.
It is a 424,823㎡ four-season ecological park featuring a visitor center, tropical botanical garden, eco-energy learning center, and various flowering plants.
In spring, the theme is Iris ensata, with about one million iris plants planted around retention ponds and wetlands.
In summer, the theme is lotus, water lilies, and hydrangeas, offering sightseeing opportunities along with children's water play experience events.
In autumn, various events are held with chrysanthemums and maple trees as the theme, and in winter, there are diverse themed events such as plant greenhouse tours and a children's kids cafe focusing on reeds and silver grass around the wetlands.
The Changpowon development project is expected to greatly contribute to job creation for local residents through the sixth industrialization and to the revitalization of the local economy.

Geochang Changpowon was created using idle land within the Hapcheon Dam reservoir area and was registered as the first local garden in Gyeongsangnam-do on January 22 of this year.
