Harris, U.S. Vice President, Says "Will Discuss Prioritizing Vaccine Support for Han"

According to Yonhap News, on the 13th (local time), the office of Democratic Party member Congressman Andy Kim stated that Vice President Harris made this remark regarding vaccine support for Korea. Congressman Kim met with Vice President Harris at the White House on the 11th.
In response to Congressman Kim's request that COVID-19 vaccines should be provided to Korea, an important ally in Asia, Vice President Harris expressed, "There has been no plan to support vaccines for Korea so far, but I agree on the necessity of support." She added, "I will prioritize and discuss this matter to advance it," and said she would consult with Congressman Kim on this issue going forward.
In particular, Vice President Harris mentioned the upcoming summit between President Moon Jae-in and President Joe Biden on the 21st, promising, "I will meet with Korean government officials before President Moon comes to the U.S. to discuss this issue."
